Dear Sandy
Thank you so much for coming into our school last week. The children had such a wonderful time painting their plates and mugs and were delighted with their results at the end of the session and I know they will be even more delighted when they see the finished product after they have been glazed.
Your introduction to how plates were made and what would happen to them after they had been painted, was informative and gave the children enough background knowledge without going into too many technical terms! Explaining each step of painting and stopping them every now and then to reinforce a point or show them a technique was really useful for all abilities. You'd make a great teacher!!
It was lovely to see all the children engrossed in their painting and taking great care over detail. Some were quite imaginative with their designs. Both you and Jane were very patient with the children giving help and encouragement where needed, so thank you.
I hope at some point in the future we can ask you to come in again. I will be strongly recommending you to others as the whole package was a great experience for the children. I have attached comments that the children wrote about you. With thanks Elaine Poole.
